CTWLK Maastricht Fashion Weekendgo back
Let’s go hybrid. 2020 is the year in which the Corona crisis crosses out the fashion events planned in conjunction with King's Day and the Maastricht Prestige event. However, SESSIBON does not allow itself to be sidelined and considers the possibility of enabling CTWLK to continue within the applicable guidelines.
Commissioned by the City of Maastricht, SESSIBON organises a hybrid event in collaboration with partners such as DEMO, Muziekgieterij, Bureau Schoonbrood, STV visuals, Viro video, Houtvideo, Toni&Guy etc. Three shows are planned; brand shows by de Bijenkorf, a show on behalf of Entre Deux & Mosae Forum and a multibrand show by entrepreneurs from the inner city of Maastricht.
The collaboration with, among others, the creative manufacturing industry from Maastricht leads to magical collaborations: from the chandeliers of Pascal Mestrom for the LED wall with the wallpaper prints of MAFAD graduate student Sam Schobbe to choreography by SALLY Dansgezelschap to the music of the Conservatorium Maastricht. It also features the talents of Kunstbende on the catwalk. Under the direction of SESSIBON, everything comes together and results in one inspiring show.
The world of on- and offline fashion shows come together in the Muziekgieterij. With all the COVID measures in force at the time, only a select audience is allowed to be physically present in the pop temple. What is missed in terms of offline audience is compensated online in a big way: in total, the live streams of the various shows reach more than 150,000 people, for example, by making smart use of the various social media channels of all partners.
