Esports – also called electronic sports – online competitive gaming. Players compete with each other, individually, or in a team. Most people compete online, but large events are also organised. Esports is a trend, and the event industry has taken notice. Thousands of gamers follow the action live, supporting their favourite player or team via online streaming services. Football clubs even contract players for their Esports teams.

Immediately after a well-received HIVE Esports Business Conference in New York late September 2018, The Esports Observer announces its next event. This time in the European Esports capital, Berlin, with SESSIBON as event partner.

HIVE Berlin took place on 11 April 2019, aiming to deliver a high-profile and innovative esports event. It offered unconventional insights into education, experience, and opportunities in the esports industry. With speakers such as Gustav Käll, head of Esports for the Universal Music Group; Jens Hilgers, CEO and co-founder of Dojo Madness; Peter Warman, CEO and co-founder of Newzoo; and Stefan Zant, director of ProSiebenSat.1 Sports, the programme had plenty to offer. Fashion shows & performances were woven in, and the end result was an exciting & dynamic event.

SESSIBON coordinates the entire congress, contributes ideas to stage design, provides a script and day schedule, provides briefings, and integrates all individual components into a single, comprehensive programme. In short, SESSIBON takes the lead with an experienced event crew responsible for technology including sound, light, and image direction, as well as full show calling, performances, and choreography.
